Franck Scurti

Franck Scurti was born in 1965 in Lyon. He lives and works in Paris.

Franck Scurti’s works, often derived from our everyday, domestic world, but also from the urban space, are part of what he calls “already socialised elements”. Their reinterpretation lies in re-compositions and shifts. The viewers dive into a familiar world, but which has been submitted to the artist’s explorations, thus requiring a recoding.

He has presented his work during solo shows at the Palais de Tokyo (2002), Le Magasin, Centre national d’Art Contemporain at Grenoble (2007), Le Creux de l’Enfer in Thiers (2009), the Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain in Strasbourg (2011), the Mamco in Geneva (2014), or the CCC in Tours (2018). He is represented by Galerie Michel Rein (Paris/Brussels).
