Charbel-joseph H. Boutros mingles romansticism and conceptual art. In his work, disappearance is a mode of visual suggestion, conveying historical and intimate meanings, finding poetic expression that extends beyond the realm of existing realities.

Boutros was a resident at the Van Eyck Academie, and participated in the Istanbul, Bahia Biennals… His work has been displayed at the Palais de Tokyo as part of the modules Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent in summer 2014.
