Socio-cultural initiatives & educators
As part of its continued commitment to reducing social inequalities and ensuring that the arts are accessible to the widest possible audience, Palais de Tokyo offers special discounts and free courses for socio-cultural organisms.
Several of these projects include a number of follow-up meetings, in order to enable the groups to meet the artists currently exhibiting at the Palais de Tokyo.
In 2008, the Palais de Tokyo signed up to the « Vivre ensemble » initiative and now works in conjunction with more than 30 cultural venues in the fight against social exclusion.

Bespoke programmes based on your specific needs and requirements

Within the context of a collaborative partnership with the Protection Judiciaire de la Jeunesse (the judicial protection of juveniles), Palais de Tokyo invited the artist Marcos Avila Forero to run a workshop for young people under court order. The artist organised a photo essay project based on the hardships faced by illegal immigrants in France.

During a series of workshops, the artist Stéphane Thidet initiated original projects, through various forms of expression such as writing, photography, painting and publishing, and promoted the production of collaborative work based on sharing, listening, autonomy, as well as the development of personal expression and self-esteem.
This project was organised in collaboration with the Mission Culture d’Emmaüs Solidarité.

This project consisted of using a video produced by the artist Claire Glorieux to initiate the Exquisite Corpse game, where an artwork is created using the traces left behind by a previous artist. Alternating between creative-writing sessions and the shooting of short videos, the indirect dialogue of the participants bears witness to shifting meanings as well as the sensibilities, subjectivities and perspectives of each individual.
This project was organised in partnership with the Palais de la Femme (Salvation Army).
