THE POWER OF IMPERMANENCE [LES LUNDIS DU PAVILLON] PERFORMANCE, PROJECTION ET CONCERT

20/04/2015

For its next evening, the Pavillon proposes three events: a performance by one of its artists in residence, Aung Ko, Nothing Lighter Than Jade, which evokes the pillage of natural resources in Myanmar; Ile artificielle / Expédition, a video by filmmaker Mati Diop, who preserves the beauty of a firework from the eyes of tourists; and techno sounds revisited by Raphaël Hénard. Three moments which work the magic of the ephemeral to envisage the poetic potential of disappearance.

This serie of events is offered by Le Pavillon Neuflize OBC, research lab of the Palais de Tokyo, hosts six international artists in a residency in Paris. Each presentation will propose a different format and come up with its own apparatus for provoking discussion, the sharing of experiences, critical perspectives, sensations. The events are also intended to offer a more informal setting in which all the foreign artists in residence may meet and discuss with one another. The Lundis du Pavillon will be an attempt to thus bring together the different tempos of artistic experimentation and festivity.
