Born in 1991, Léonard Martin trained in painting and drawing in François Boisrond’s studio, at Les Beaux-Arts in Paris, then at Le Fresnoy where he constantly received the jury’s congratulations. Inspired by Joyce’s Ulysses, his second-year project was awarded the Revelation Prize for Digital Art and Video Art from the ADAGP (société des artistes auteurs plasticiens) in September 2017, and was displayed at La Villette in April 2018. He has exhibited at the Guangzhou Biennale in Korea last September. After being chosen for a Révélation Emerige grant, his work was presented at the Villa Emerige (Paris) in November 2018. Since September 2018, Léonard Martin has been in residence at the Villa Médicis in Rome.
