Fondé en 2002 à Londres par Kodwo Eshun, Anjalika Sagar et Richard Couzins, The Otolith Group (littéralement « pierre de l’oreille ») cherche, au fil de ses multiples activités et recherches, à remettre en question nos habitudes de perception, notre vision de l’histoire et nos conceptions de l’humain. En présence de Kodwo Eshun et Anjalika Sagar.
Kodwo Eshun is a self-professed ‘concept engineer’, and known for his ‘fast-forward’ theories on electronic music and its interface with art, science fiction, technology and machine culture. In 2002 Eshun co-founded The Otolith Group with Anjalika Sagar, the name coming from a structure found in the inner ear that establishes our sense of gravity and orientation.

Le Superdome est un stade mythique : construit en 1975 à La Nouvelle-Orléans (Louisiane), il a accueilli de nombreux Super Bowls (la finale du championnat de football américain), un concert des Rolling Stones, le pape Jean-Paul II, la Convention Républicaine et les réfugiés de l’ouragan Katrina. Paradoxal, le Superdome jette un pont entre le divertissement le plus grand, avec le Super Bowl, et la détresse absolue, avec Katrina. S’inspirant de cette logique additionnelle et schizophrénique d’un I Can get no satisfaction ET d’un Notre Père qui êtes aux cieux, Marc-Olivier Wahler propose SUPERDOME, une nouvelle session réunissant cinq expositions personnelles oscillant entre spectacle et vanités, décibels et prières, high-tech et chaos, dans la continuité du programme d’expositions testant la notion d’élasticité de l’œuvre d’art entamé au Palais de Tokyo depuis Cinq Milliards d’Années.
The Superdome is a mythical stadium: built in 1975 in New Orleans (Louisiana), it Has hosted numerous Super Bowls (the American football championship's final), a Rolling Stones concert, Pope John Paul II, the Republican Convention and refugees of Hurricane Katrina. Paradoxical, the Superdome builds a bridge between the greatest entertainment and the greatest anguish. Inspired by its additional and schizophrenic logic, mixing "I can get no satisfaction" AND "Our father in heaven", Marc-Olivier Wahler puts forward SUPERDOME:a new session composed of five solo decibels and prayers, high-tech and chaos, as the continuation of a program testing the notion of the elasticity of art which started at the Palais de Tokyo with Five Billion Years.

A l'invitation de l'Institut franco-japonais du Kansaï, le groupe d'artistes du Pavillon, encadrés par Angela Detanico et Rafael Lain, duo d'artistes brésiliens, se rendent à Kyoto du 7 au 19 mai pour un workshop avec de jeunes artistes japonais, issus de l'Université d'art et de design de Kyoto.
