Keiichiro Shibuya

Composer and Player in electronic and acoutic music, Keiichiro Shibuya creates prolific and proteiform work where high technology is combined with melancholic poetry. His ghost aesthetic offers a numerical animism with an ultra contemporary manner.

After the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he created the music label ATAK in 2002 which intervenes in design and web technology etc.. as an artist group. He has written movie soundtracks, like for Memories of Origins by Hiroshi Sugimoto  in 2012 and has conceived the first virtual opera, The End, which was staged at Théâtre du Châtelet.
